The Job

* To maintain a professional and friendly relationship with staff, customers and prospects, and be capable of working on one’s own initiative to ensure area goals are met.
* To organise and sell products and services, and to achieve the revenue and profitability goals, as defined by management.
* To organise administrative records and process all documentation accordingly in such a manner that historical and statistical data may be analysed to assess strategic and tactical requirements.
* To ensure good communications are maintained with the customer care group and inform them of potential problem areas or sales opportunities.
* To assist the customer care group in solving user problems when required.
* To ensure that all movement of demonstration equipment is properly documented and that it is maintained in good working order.
* To assist and input views and issues that have a bearing on the day to day running or overall position of the company.
* To participate in user group meetings, exhibitions and seminars when required.



The Person

* Minimum of three years’ experience of instrumentation in a lab and/or sales environment.
* Formal education in Chemistry or similar. - ESSENTIAL
* Outgoing personality, determined, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a pro-active nature, able to work well in a team environment.
* Experience of tendering / selling to different levels within Analytical Chemistry, Life Science and Process Control markets a distinct advantage.
* Confident communication skills and an ability to devise and implement action-based area plans to target key clients and companies.
* Ideally located in or around the Dublin area.


The Reward

* Competitive based salary, depending on relevant experience but packaged around the €50 – 60K.
