As part of our next recruitment phase to help drive our fast-paced and exciting business to the next stage of our growth we are seeking an Assistant Accountant to work within our finance team.

Main Responsibilities

* Preparation of management accounts on a weekly basis, adhering to deadlines
* Preparation of commercial accounts on a weekly basis, adhering to deadlines
* Work with the commercial team to ensure pricing accuracy and provision of timely information
* Assisting in Preparation of stock reconciliations on a weekly basis
* Bank reconciliations
* Reconciles transactions and data as directed; records changes, reconciles and resolves differences; maintains the accuracy of the accounting and financial records
* Prepares weekly/monthly reconciliations and key reports in order to assist with, and promote effective working capital management
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports
* Assist in the efficient operation of the Accounts Payable and Credit Control functions within the finance department
* Work with other departments in order to ensure accounting records are accurate and timely in nature
* Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications - Required Knowledge and Skills

The primary requirements for this position are 1-2 years experience within a similar position, preferably within an FMCG company. Studying towards achieving an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) an advantage. The candidate should be highly organised, and be able to work positively and constructively within a pressurised environment. Skill in data entry with high levels of accuracy.

* Strong IT skills for data manipulation and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel are required.
* Skill in organizing and managing multiple duties, and working within time constraints.
* Skill in following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions.
* Skill in working independently and as a team member.
